Homage to Homicide: Life on the Street – Atlanta, Georgia Remake
We decided to recreate the intro to the well-known police drama Homicide (H:LOTS) using Atlanta as the background. All footage seen in this tribute is 100% original. No video footage from the actual Homicide intro was used. The only asset used from the original intro was the music. After breaking down every frame of the opening sequence, we couldn’t resist to attempt to modernize the original, hoping to keep the classic 16mm look and feel. During this venture, we gained an understand of what the original creators’ goal was, and it helped us to rediscover that yet again, simple editing and vivid imagery mixed with the right music always wins.
